In 1966 the Bennington Bussiness Men published a booklet for the Centennial Celebration. These stories are taken from this book and from The History of Ottawa County, Kansas, 1864-1984 put out by The Ottawa County Historical Society. The article about Metz Lipic was sent to us from Texas where Metz now lives. If you have stories about early settlers in the Bennington area, we would like to include them in this section. The pictures of the old town were copied from old photos and are very dim. They are slow to load but worth the time
